Why DBT Group Therapy?

Acquiring DBT skills aids members to create a "life worth living." The group will focus on four key goals:

  • Increasing one's awareness of the "present moment" to learn to determine what makes you feel good or bad
  • Increasing interpersonal (relationship) effectiveness
  • Increasing one's understanding of emotions and how to experience them in a way that is not overwhelming
  • Tolerating emotional pain without resorting to self-harm or self-destructive behaviors.

Members learn to give and receive support in an empathic and safe environment that we create.

This group is especially helpful for:

  • Emotional Reactivity
  • Stress Related Disorders Anxiety/Depression
  • Chronic Pain
  • Addictions
  • Improving Relationships and Communication
