Growing up in a family where loved ones suffer from addiction or mental illness can create uncertainty, chaos, stress and loneliness. It is painful to watch a family member struggle while managing the stresses and challenges of a full teenage life. Our group will provide support, and will also foster a sense of belonging and connection with others.

This group offers:

  • A safe and confidential environment
  • An understanding of how addiction and mental illness affects the entire family
  • A focus on members' individual feelings and needs that are not being met in the family due to the needs of other individuals in the family.
  • Development of healthy coping skills to deal with diffi cult situations and unwanted feelings.
  • Education about creating and keeping healthy boundaries to help your development as an individual.
  • Ways to create structure in the family and in oneself to improve relationships and communication.
